alfalfa pellets for milli food?

Have any milli owners used alfalfa pellets for milli food? It seems like they would break down due to the moisture and natural microbial fauna. Does it add to the milli's diet, and do the milli's eat it? Just wondering.

I use chicken mash (Purina Sunfresh Recipe Layena) for mine. The only problem I've encountered with using grain products is that they mold quickly. I remedy the problem by changing out the food every other day. Chicken mash is dirt cheap, $10.00 for 50 lbs.

i use hard wood leaves and rotting hard wood. and suppliment with leaf lettuces and cucumbers and some fish flakes every once in a while
