The more I see these, the more I'll need to put T. albopilosus "Nicaragua" on my wish list. So much floofier than Honduran/Costa Rican forms.

Have you tried crickets yet ? I guarantee it'll give you a great show as it chases those down. Looking forward to what you'll get next. :)

Not yet, I’m personally very much not fond of crickets lol

Crickets elicit a much stronger feeding response given they are much more active compared with the usual meal/super worm. You might catch your T. albo do a barrel roll as it catches one. And it's more likely to "Happy Dance" with crickets than with worms.

Oh I do want to see a happy dance haha maybe when I go out tomorrow I’ll see if the store will let me take home just one cause it’s like one of those animals that wig me out so much haha

I can give you a pro tip. Female crickets are much easier to handle. You can grab them by the ovipositor, the stinger-like appendage sticking from their rear. A good grip with tongs, and they can't jump off. Bring them somewhere above the T. Let them go and watch the carnage. Never fails. Personally, I prefer to drop them as far away from the spider, as it gets the cricket to roam about the enclosure, allowing for a more natural feeding response as the T feels the cricket's movements and reacts accordingly.

Lovely salmon pink took its first meal worm with me yesterday when I got back from a short vacation 4AD03102-2229-499D-8408-B23730B7CA80.jpeg

My small red rump

Very passive, still not wanting to eat so maybe pre-molt? (From today) but most likely stressed F5A85571-832C-4743-81F8-F5268D7057B0.jpeg

(Since the second photo I’ve moved the sling to a different enclosure over anxiety over the holes haha)
