AGB Missing Back Legs

Hey everybody, I have a question regarding my AGB.

She’s somewhere around 7.5 years old and I’ve had her for 6 of those ♥. I love this old lady, but I’ve noticed recently that the legs on her back few (3.5) segments have been lopped off. I’m assuming she chewed them down.

I’m keeping an eye on her. Nothing has changed recently in her diet or conditions. She’s eating well, roaming, climbing, etc.

I’m not sure what to make of this. Her back few segments are a little wrinkly (nothing terrible, but I think her last molt was stressful, since it happened in the dead of winter during the big Texas power outage in 2021). I’m not sure if the wrinklyness of those segments is at all related.

Does anybody have experience or suggestions for dealing with this? Is there anything I can do or look out for?

Thank you,
Mitch

Hey everyone,

Sorry for going MIA on this thread. At this point, I'm certain the leg-loss isn't progressing.
In 2021 she had a semi-bad molt (Texas had a winter storm and we lost power for a week, I have another post about it), and she came out of it with a slightly wrinkled rump. Her last few segments are a tiny bit wavy, but she's able to poop just fine and nothing else seemed to be wrong! What I didn't realize at the time was that that was her final molt. She's an 8 year old lady now, and she hasn't molted since then.

Those last few segments are the segments that no longer have legs--I believe she chewed them off as a result of the damage from her molt. They were probably not functional.
All is well though! She has 11" of legs to spare and doesn't seem bothered by the loss at all. Everything's been stable since I noticed in March, and I'm betting they were gone long before then.

Thanks to anyone who commented!
