Adult H. Spinifer lifespan?

Hello,

I'm interested in acquiring an H. Spinifer but cannot decide on whether or not to get a scorpling/juveline or a 4-5" sub-adult/adult as the prices are near identical it seems.

Does anyone know how long Heterometrus species live (generally) once they reach adulthood? Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I should go for? I was hoping to get at least 5 years out of whatever specimen I purchase.

Cheers!

Hey

depends on a lot of factors, how hot you keep them, etc. 5 years shouldn't be a problem for an adult living by itself!
I assume you'd have it by itself? Females giving birth more than once tend to live shorter IME

It would be just one specimen yes. Thank you for the reply.

I was skeptical about getting an adult but as I already have some young inverts I figure an adult would be interesting especially considering the price is nearly the same.
