IMG_3939.JPG IMG_4002.JPG So I found a trapdoor in my garden a few months back. I had never had a trapdoor before so I decided to keep it and apart from watching it catch crickets was kinda a boring pet hole. Well I got home this morning and it appears to have left its hole and has been busy all night.

That webbing wasn't there yesterday, neither was the clump of goop and the spider was twice the size

I hope so - it's certainly the most action I've ever seen from that container - still spinning web like crazy and every so often goes around the perimeter plucking the entire web. its pretty cool to watch

Not with any level of certainty. I've tried running through the taxonomy key without much luck.

Nevertheless, beautiful spider. Would love to see some of Australia's wildlife for myself.
