Ooh that C. ritae is fantastic looking. Also, that female H. gab is gorgeous. Have you paired any of your girls up with our boy yet?

I tried pairing him the other night... no success. He did not approach or make any movements for several hours. :wall:

So feeding day is today. I shall feed him and both females and try again tomorrow once all are fed.

Realy nice Vivariums but they must be hard to keep clean?

Nope. All contain a selection of detritivores (worms, isopods, snails, millipedes, springtails, etc.). They keep it clean. Though once every 2-3 months the glass has to be wiped down with vinegar and water. That is it.

Some were like the ship in the bottle. Bent hangers used as chopsticks worked well enough.

As for ventilation some have air holes hidden in the lid. Others are nearly completely sealed besides a tiny space between the lid and glass. The plants provide enough C02/02 exchange to allow for proper respiration. Detritivores keep any mold at bay.

Keep in mind many species of tarantula live in burrows where little to no air flow occurs or live in self made web tunnels that trap humidity (like H.incei and H.villosella). I do not house arboreals in these, but do house terrestrial species.

Australian Social Huntsman Spider/Avondale Spider background for a tank (converted china cabinet) measuring 72''x24''x16''. Not finished. Still needs to cure and then I can put the plants in (there are slots for the plants to be housed).
