My P. met has been in the same enclosure for about a year now and the only webbing in there is from where she has molted.
By introducing the male to the females enclosure and monitoring whether or not she is receptive. This way you can typically keep the male from becoming dinner and save him for more breeding attempts. Outside of a few communal species, keeping multiple Ts in the same enclosure will eventually end with just one fat tarantula. I am still new to the hobby as well (less than 2 years) and there may be species that are housed together for breeding, but I am not aware of them.
