What is your expectation when you buy a captive bred T? You might expect that the breeder has "parents" on site and that the eggsac was developed and hatched in house. There are alot of reputable captive breeders but what stops an individual from obtaining a gravid WC and selling the offspring as captive bred. An honest dealer/breeder would make that notification whereas someone of lesser ethics may not. Is there a system of tracking the breeder that I'm unaware of and if not should one be developed? I don't mean track as in hunt down but somekind of "certification" to signify that the clutches they say are captive bred are just that. I personally would rather be a patron of someone who actually put in the time and effort than to someone who just got lucky and then lies about it. Of course, this may be a complete waste of time too.

Ask to see their written records. If they take the time to breed Ts, I would imagine they would keep records.
