I had made a fresh batch of substrate to freshen up some of my Ts so I figured I'd replace what was in her enclosure. I open the door and, as I'm scooping out the damn dirt, the little <edit> flips over! I dont replace what I had removed but slowly return the door and let it do its wiggly molty dance.

I'm so "anti-sponge" but was concerned about how to keep up the humidity without substrate so I put a pinch of plain cotton in the corner. Honestly, I am thrilled she survived her sans-substrate molt.

Today has been 7 days so I'm going to treat her to a dubia and some fresh eco-earth.

Have you ever had anything like this happen? If so, what did you do differently. 20170217_143826.jpg

May want to edit out profanity before this gets deleted ;)

But why would you be adding/replacing substrate in the first place? Was there a mold issue?

Always good to get a successful moult. Especially with a nice species like that. :)
