I looked in on my H. lividum's eggsac last night, and mom was standing guard over it. Tonight I dug her up and the sac was open and empty. Today was week seven. How sad. I waited to long.
I found a roach in the tank with them. It may have caused her to stress out I guess.:?

Ernie,
that is a total bummer...I'm sorry to hear that. It's so disappointing when that happens!

My egg is around 10 weeks now, it's still with 'mummy spider' and I havn't had any major problems

I'm unsure if the egg will hatch successfully though.. if it does I'd send you soem babies but I don't think I can to the USA sorry

deifiler,
I'd pull it while you still can.

When you going to do the breeding?
Hope you get a nice fat sac. :D

Sorry to hear that Mrt, When is the best time to pull the egg sac? I believe my T blondi will be laying one and i would like to avoid this. Also does any body have any info or maybe a link on making a mechanical mom for the babies?
