A courting/mated pair?

I found these two large centipedes sharing the same space. I am assuming they were a pair or courting since I was under the impression they were solitary.

These two did not pay my intrusion much heed, just some curious antenna flicks and casual repositioning and then after taking these picks put everything back the way it was and left them to do their thing. (Normally when I disturb pedes, especially smaller ones they take off like rockets.)

Some of these pics are blurry but maybe they will be of interest since wild centipedes are not often found like this?

Well it's been around two days and they are still together. I'm no longer checking in on them since I figured I have tried their patience enough, and I want to see babies next year.
