Hi guys,

yesterday I checked on one of my A. Chalcodes slings and to my surprise found a lil molt at the entrance of their burrow. Looking at the sling I could not tell any difference. It appears to be the same size and also is still chonk. This seriously made me doubt my sanity

So I guess the point of this thread is yet another rant about A. Chalcodes growth rate at that size :D

To be honest I am still not quite sure what is going on.

What aren’t sure of??
If it actually molted like two days ago. Guess it could have ninja molted at some point and then randomly dispatched of the molt yesterday

Slings of slow growing species really makes you question your sanity from time to time. They moult and you could've sworn they've not only NOT grown but are actually slightly smaller than they were before.

Jokes aside, it might've moulted, or it had an old moult stashed away in there. Some of my tarantulas keep their old moults for months, even years, until one day when it's suddenly de-cluttering time. Either way, as long as the spider is healthy you shouldn't worry!
