A. Avic....feeding ? and picture:)

I have an A. avic that's about 2.5 inches.
Do you think it would eat a pinkie mouse?
He/she is a really agressive eater, it grabs it's food
from the tongs. I do not even get a chance to drop it in!
It ate 4 crickets in one feeding! Thats odd for me, my other T's
do not eat this much. I thought the mouse would fill him/her
up better, and I would not have to offer food so much.
The T is easy to handle, but it's hard to get it to go back into
it's home:eek:

All those views and, no comments:confused:

She might be able to eat a pinky, but it also might scare her a bit. The only way to answer that question is to try and see. Some T's just don't like pinkies.

That's what I figured:) I'll try a tiny 3 day old pink,no hair,no teeth!:)
My other T's are little and will not even take a small meal worm.
Maybe this one will take those things. I have a bunch of them,
the only other thing I can do with all these worms is to feed them
to my carnivorous plants:)

Try the pinkie, my P. regalis eats pinkies, so I don't see why an A. avicularia would not eat one also. But as Pategirl said, some T's do not like pinkies. I only have 3 that will eat them, a P. regalis, a L. parahybana, and a T. blondi. Even though I have a few other T's big enough to tackle them they don't seem to like them.

my female was my first t, and i cant believe how many different things shes taken down. i bought her as a 3" juvie, and being very new to keeping t's i tried lots of things with her id never think of doing now. she has a great fondness for tree frogs i used to catch for her in florida. shes also eaten lizards, a couple which were bigger than her. she tackled and carried them off up the wall of the enclosure without even a slight sign of strain. again id never do this now, but to answer your question i think a pinky is worth a try.
