Seems like most people hate their parents as teens, heh.

I never hated my parents, they were always very good to me. I was responsible, got good grades, didn't get into (much) trouble. In return they were more than happy to be lenient with me. If I needed money for something, it was there, they were even ok with me drinking underage from time to time because they knew I would be discreet about it and that I wouldn't do something stupid like drive home drunk. So I guess I've never been able to relate to people who hate their parents.

Reading through this post, I'm not sure which way to go on this one.

I hate to not believe a person who says he's been bitten, but me, like others have stated, would like to see the bite marks or even the T the did the damage.

One thing he mentioned was that he wasn't feeling well at the time, i hope he didn't have a bad reaction or something and that's why he hasn't been posting.

Just my thoughts here... a pic would help us believe him, but also disbelieving him could make him say f#$k this!! and go to another forum. I think we all expect the truth when things are posted here, but I personally haven't seen anything yet that is so far out there where I've said B.S. right off the bat.

It's kinda like someone saying they've been struck by lightning IMO... The first time you hear it you'd be like "WHOA!! I hope you're ok!", but the second time you'd be saying "Uh... AGAIN?!?"

Granted, a T bite is not QUITE as rare as being hit by lightning, but I myself have been as close as 15 feet from a lightning strike once, and in over 15 years never bitten by a T, mine or any of them I've had to handle when working in pet stores.

So either Steve is telling the truth and thereby showing gross incompitence in how he cunducts himself with his T's, or he made up the 2nd and possibly even the 1st bite stories for attention. It's one or the other, period. Assuming he's not making it up, it's just not possible to get bit a 2nd time by such hot species as these in this timeframe without gross negligence on his part.

There is every chance that he is not in a condition to sit at the computer and thumb through the forums, and if that is the case I certainly hope he will be ok, but likewise I certainly hope he will AT LEAST get rid of his aggressive and OW specimens because he obviously is not being responsible in their care and maintenance.

STEVE...

you might want to take a look at this thread, after all, it's about your H gigas bite. Some of it's a bit harsh. ...but after reading about your THIRD bite...there is something so seriously wrong, if I were your parent, ALL your Ts would've been LONG GONE

And for the love of the Tarantula God, if your T is injured and you MUST handle it, put it in the refriedgerator first. And hey, there's no problem with welding gloves.
First, if you feel a need to refrigirate the t before transfer it you might reconsider to get rid of those species and just keep calm ones.
Gloves... well they are a false security, cos they are not 100% safe.

Just put a cup over the t and slid a lid under it. Volia its trapped.
