So my Tliltocatl albopilosus has completely gone underground and did something interesting and am curious about what type of behavior is going on as well as any insight to the situation “Webby” decided to explore under the coco core substrate and encased herself in webbing in a burrow she made in the span of less than 48 hours I woke up to this and she hasn’t move around to much from the same position is she guarding some great treasure? I’m unsure please hep

That looks like an egg-sac. Is she wild caught? If so, it may be viable, but if she was captive bred and never paired then it’s probably a phantom sac (not viable)

Yes that is indeed great treasure to her. It's her children that's an egg sack. Has she been paired recently? How long have you had her? do you know if she's wild caught? Also t albos are excavators they need lots of deep substrate to dig if you haven't provided that already.

Yes I have had her for going on 4 weeks now I got her from an exotic shop in the local area to add her to the collection from what I understand she hasn’t been paired

she’s not wild caught and unpaired and yes she currently has approximately 3-5 inches of substrate

Are you able to verify from the shop that she is indeed captive bred? Many pet stores that sell this species get them in from the wild, something worth considering. In terms of what you can do with the sac, you can read up on breeding reports for this species and plan accordingly, or you can cull the sac if you don’t wanna have to find homes for all of those slings. Also would be helpful to ask the shop for a locality if they know it.

She's most likely wild caught. It's unlikely she was paired then sold. She was probably gravid then waited until now after the stress of collecting to make a sac. Could still be a dud sack but you'll just have to wait and see.

5in is barely enough substrate for a mature female. Should have more like 6-7.

Wild caught while gravid. More common than people think. On the bright side, free slings. It may be a phantom sac as well. But congrats, you have a confirmed female.
If she is not wild caught and hasn't been paired it could be a phantom sac, but this species is so frequently imported from wild collection I will agues sit is that.
