I think trying to sex it would be futile but by all means go ahead and try if you can.

Hard to say on the sex of the P. regalis. I hate to ask but, what happened to it's leg, it's missing one?

missing leg

The Regalis was missing the leg when we got it...not too sure what happened to it!

Ya, im guessing it lost a leg during a molt before I recieved it. Im not too worried since it is so small still it will only take a couple months to fully regenerate.

There are some "female tendencies" but I've become very cautious of trying to sex them until their undersides are more developed. When I first learned the trick of doing it, I tried to sex a bunch of 'pre-pubescent' Ts and I didn't do much better than flipping a coin.

I hear you. When my collection was smaller, I was more anxious to know NOW what sex I had. Then I realized that it was whatever sex it was and me getting eye strain trying to guess wasn't changing anything.

As for buying I've realised that either you buy them so small that no one can sex them, or you wait until they're large enough that there's no doubt.
