The substrate looks like bark chips . . . as a helpful suggestion, I'd advise you replace it with something more burrow-accomidating, such as peat or coco fiber.
Of course, my eyes aren't the greatest, so I could be mistaken.
yea peat coco is the best combo, however with my emps ive had them on jungle earth(basicily wood chips) and they did fine. Mine never burrow no matter what there on:wall:
