1/2" H.gigas sling

3/4" H.gigas sling

I got lucky and was able to get this guy / girl to come out of its burrow with a mealworm. When I took off the lid it ran down the hole, but after a few mins. it came back up to find its dinner.
So, here it is.

Awsome tarantula, unfortunatally my only H gigis(a 3.5" male) died yesterday from unknown causes. O well bestof luck with your T.

That really sucks Brandon,
How did you know he was male? Did you sex a molt he kicked out of its burrow? Or when you found it dead.
My 4 1/2" gigas is always under ground, and by the time it kicks out its molt, theres only little chunks of legs and the fangs left.
Its name is Bad Ass or BA

That's cool Mr T, I had a 3/4" H. gigas and killed it. I think I way under estimated it's moisture needs. Good luck with yours.
