Unfortunately, I ended up with two males of this species. When I asked the dealer to find out what species this really is - the dealer was told it is a brand new species. I have no clue, so I just go by the species it was sold to me as.
Whichever species she ends up being, she sure is gorgeous. I'm not big on blue tarantulas, but I have really fallen in love with my girls since they have developed their adult markings. I can't wait to see them full grown.
My Homoeomma sp. Blue juvenile female threatening to kick hair at me while I did some maintenance in her enclosure. She never followed through, but instead stood like this the whole time... looking adorable.
I am up to speed on the controversy surrounding this species and whether it is really Thrixopelma lagunas/cyaneolum, but, when I looked at reference photos of spermathecae, this girl's looked nothing like either of the Thrixopelma and almost identical to Homoeomma.
