  1. Trachelipus rathkii"Albino"

    Trachelipus rathkii"Albino"

Found this very rare oddball at the same nature preserve that I found my deep orange colored T.rathkii at. Unfortunately, I threw it into my normal T.rathkii colony and it hasn't turned up since. :(
  2. Trachelipus rathkii

    Trachelipus rathkii

I always am able to collect a good number these guys at Woodhaven Lakes, they're pretty common there. I like this species mostly because of their wide color variation( I'm actually currently trying to isolate an orange strain) , but also because of their attractive mottling.
  3. Cylisticus convexus

    Cylisticus convexus

I'm able to find a good amount of these at Woodhaven Lakes just. I am very fond of the patterning on these guys, and something that intrigued me when I first collected some was that they actually roll up into a teardrop shape instead of a ball like other isopods.
  4. Trachelipus rathkii"Orange"

    Trachelipus rathkii"Orange"

A very nice color form of T.rathkii, which I am currently trying to isolate down to a very deep shade.
  5. Porcellio scaber

    Porcellio scaber

These are supposed to be one of the most common isopods, yet(ironically)these are the first couple individuals that I have found, and trust me, I've looked! Nice to finally have this classic species.
  6. Porcellio spinicornis"White"

    Porcellio spinicornis"White"

I have around five of these unusually light colored individuals in a separate container to try an isolate the trait. They look stunning if I do say so myself!
  7. Porcellio spinicornis

    Porcellio spinicornis

Found around eighty individuals of this beautifully marked, flat, and relatively large species of isopod at a nature preserve in Cook County, Illinois.
  8. Porcellionides pruinosus

    Porcellionides pruinosus

I would definitely say that this is the most beautiful species I can find in my area, I just love their gray/blue powder-coated bodies!
