Don't mind the moldy leftovers which was taken out after taking this picture during maintenance. She came down to throw the old sac out and is readying for her 5th sac soon. Babies are plump and eat great when it comes to flightless fruit flies.
After her first sac, I fed her until she was super fat. Then she went into hiding behind one of her leaning driftwood for 2 days. This picture was taken on the 3rd day and I'm not too surprised honestly. I didn't want to disturb her too much, so that explains the low quality pic.
From what I was told, it was imported from South Africa so I'm guessing Barylestis scutatus?? I'm not to sure as this female is only 2'' in leg span, so not the biggest huntsman, but help ID-ing this one would be appreciated.
I thought he wasn't a mature male based on his size of his most recent molt which was around 2''. Then I saw his Pedipalps with boxing gloves and knew he was mature. But are B. scutatus MM this small???
