    What's Your "Dream T?"

I know you've been told size doesn't matter, but it really does, especially with female shoppers. If you want the highest possible return for your buck, go with one at least 8".

    Don't ever change!

Hey, my G. pulchra walks over to the water dish and holds onto it while I'm trying to lift it out of her enclosure. She's not trying to bite, just doesn't want the water dish moved. We've been playing this game on and off for an hour. A light tug of war that I let her win. She only moves to the...

    What's Your "Dream T?"

Sheri, I think that's called a "husband spider". If you're half as hot as your avatar, you'll have a few volunteers. ;)

    Rescuing vs. Educating

I agree with you and have resisted "rescue" buying in the past. However, greed sometimes kicks in. I "rescued" a flameknee sling for $10. It wasn't a T species I was looking to buy at the time. It had a $20 price tag and it was sitting in a "swamp". My mindset went something like this, "I'll...

    Picking a Tarantula

I have to agree with Sheri on the G. pulchra recommendation. And on another topic I'd also have to say that Sheri's avatar is way too hot to change  :} The ladies are giving us our Thanksgiving early ;)

    What's Your "Dream T?"

I'd have to go with a jet black T, 24", 18 ounce, 2 inch fangs, huge threat display including LOUD hissing, but never bites humans, venom not medically significant. It would thrive at room temperature and low humidity. It gives off a chemical that kills mites and nematodes. It would be...

    Scientific vs. Common

In Alaska would you rather catch a pink or a humpy? Would you rather catch a sockeye or a red? A chum or a dog? A Coho or a silver? A chinook or a king? Which makes a better pet a red rat or a corn? Which has orange feathers a baltimore or a northern? And just when you think you...

    Scientific vs. Common

If you were in South FL it was a Florida panther. If you were in upstate NY it was probably a Lynx. :liar:

Actually I'm into animals. I have tarantulas, millipedes, emperor scorpions, beetles, frogs, salamanders, lizards, snakes, a cockcatoo, and a pug...25 different species in all.

Very sorry to hear that, but thanks for sharing that lesson with others so that mistake isn't repeated. :(

docile scorpion that can take it cool?

Thanks, everyone for the great info. And Katie, there's nothing wrong with reiterating, as long as you bring that avatar with you. Jersey girls rock! I read you won't change it until you get a "better" picture. While you might get a "better" picture in your opinion, you won't get a sexier...

docile scorpion that can take it cool?

Thanks, G. Carnell I understand your point that they'll thrive with heat, and appreciate the venom information. :) Does anyone know if Hadogenes glow blue-green in blacklight?

docile scorpion that can take it cool?

Thanks Brian that was helpful. In your experience can Hadogenes survive temps in the low 70's? What's their venom like?

docile scorpion that can take it cool?

Are there any scorpion species that are docile AND can do well at room temperature? I'm looking for a scorpion that can be handled like an emperor, but can take it cooler than an emperor...is that asking too much? :liar: Anything you know of that comes close?
