What temperature do you guys keep your discoid roaches?

Mhmm thats interesting. I did mix dog food and oats in a blender and they did eat it. Maybe I'll try apples. I was surprised they left the oranges alone as I heard they go bonkers for them.

What temperature do you guys keep your discoid roaches?

I'd say low 40s. I try to mist their enclosure every day and soak part of the substrate. I have a Ceramic heat emitter on them so it tanks the humidity for sure. I've dialed back on the temperature. Right now it's sitting at 84-85F in the egg crates where they hide. (I have my thermostat probe...

What temperature do you guys keep your discoid roaches?

Mine aren't eating at all, I always leave them fresh vegetables every day and replenish it every morning but I notice they just nibble on the edges. Could my temps be too high? Right now its at 91 F

Where should I place my thermostat probe for my discoid roaches?

I need to switch them over to a darker bin tmrw. It pretty much emits heat through infrared waves.

Where should I place my thermostat probe for my discoid roaches?

I had a reptile heat pad too before but I notice the egg crates where they stay at is only around 74 F thats why I moved to an emitter

68-70F room temp. I've heard CHE is safe if you have a thermostat

Where should I place my thermostat probe for my discoid roaches?

Their tub is shallow so the very top of the egg crates is at least 4-5" away from the emitter. Is that too close? I need to rehome them to a deeper and darker tub.

Where should I place my thermostat probe for my discoid roaches?

Im unsure where to place the thermostat probe. I use a Ceramic Heat Emitter and I was wondering if I should place the probe within the egg crates or do I place it on the substrate.

    Tips for new tarantula?

Brachypelma species (either hamorii, emilia, albopilosum) Grammostola Pulchripes or Pulchra Then realize that they take ages to grow and proceed to get a GBB, A geniculata, N chromatus, L parahybana etc.. At least that was the case for me :sorry:

Should I get an LP even though I already have an L. difficilis?

Maybe it's given away as freebies. Yea, I could use that $15 for a nhandu chromatus sling or another good looking T.

    Who molted today?

Pterinopelma sazimai molted today! Woke up to it laying on its back, I wanted to shoot a time lapse but I don’t have any space on my camera :/ The waterdish actually has water in it, the flash made it look empty.

Should I get an LP even though I already have an L. difficilis?

There's only a couple T breeders in Canada that I know of and they sell LP slings for $15/sling.

I like that 5x P. cambridgei for $25! My only problem is I don't know what to put them in once they are adults. Also, isopod love <3

Should I get an LP even though I already have an L. difficilis?

Some of them are pretty good actually except for the GBB. They are $50 for 1/2" on TCanada and I bought another one 2" for $65 on Arachnophiliacs. I wish Vancouver had T breeders.

Should I get an LP even though I already have an L. difficilis?

I see that you're from Canada, where do you buy your Ts? I buy mine from Tarantula Canada but recently I bought my P cancerides and a juvie gbb from Bruce @ arachnophiliacs which is located just an hour away from me. Anyways, I might just add the LP and klugi to my buy list.
