    Good Tarantulas For Begginers?

Brachypelma albopilosum is a good first pick and their growth is faster than some brachys. What size T would you be looking to get? If you want something very small and to see it grow i would personally add N.chromatus to the list as mine has given me immense pleasure in watching her grow as...

    Lost & Found

After a two week period where I have had a couple of escapes I am interested in hearing stories of any escapes and how/where you found your T's. Luckily my T's are kept in a closed glass cabinet and I found one had visited mealworms in their enclosure while the other took up home in a model...

What's the cutest thing about tarantulas?

For creatures so small they sure do seem to have a strange sense of humour and habit of winding me up from various T's doing all sorts of things with their water bowls to my N.Incei making some miraculous escape attempt to set up home in the wheel rim of a model Ferrari. It's kinda hard to get...

    kept together

    M. balfouri communuals are probably the most common other species have been kept communually with limited success. You are more likely to hear of sucesses than failures. Who want's to admit that their multiple cuddly T's are now one fat T? Some species are also happy to cohabit while young but...

Good places to buy from uk?

Bought from all of these except Tarantulas Glasgow, and all have been great Spidersworld EU generally offers the widest selection if you are buying several T's at the same time.

On the bright side this was a good lesson to learn now rather than 6 months down the line. Good luck with your new T

Super worm loose in the cage. Issue?

You could try placing a slice of apple in the tank and checking under it every couple of hours to see if the superworm took the bait. Personally though I would bite the bullet and empty the tank.

    water controversy?

Very rarely do I change the water unless I have to dig it out, most get a top up as needed. I see people on the boards who imo are guilty of "overcaring" in cleaning enclosures like they would a reptilian or mammalian pet. I think this constant bothering of T's does more harm than good.

    Tarantula Diet

90% mealworms, these are super easy to keep and breed. Morio worms for my bigger T and wax worms/moths as a treat if I see some when shopping. I'm not a fan of crickets and have never tried roaches purely for reasons of them creeping me out a little.
