If it's just a single cage I'd suggest using a low wattage heatpanel attached to a side of the enclosure and let it run at night.
If you won't use a thermostat you'll have to check how hot it gets with either a thermometer or heatgun to check that it doesn't get too hot. I'd avoid letting it get...
0.1 Chilobrachys fimbriatus from 6/16
And a bunch of insects.
2.2 Phyllium philippinicum

Just came from a convention in my era. Great experience. :)
I second this, from my modest collection Miss Marzipan is a real b.. :D
Still a lovely spider as long as you don't touch her or "enter" her cork bark tube.
That was my first ever tarantula, sub adult female P. Cambridgei. :hilarious:
The pet store didn't voice a single concern, at least they...
Must have?
A pair of tongs is really the only thing you must have ime.
If you want to make a little set of stuff go with what was posted so far. It'll make life easier for sure.
I used cereal boxes as catch cups/transfer boxes before. I only had one pair of tongs for years. :shame:
Thats what I would do, heat the cabinet with heatpads/cables like you would do with a snake rack.
Preferrably let the heat come from the top.
Don't forget to use a thermostat to control the heating units.
Yes, ime feeding rodents does make them more toxic. Has something to do with all the fluids and rot in the enclosure, equals more bacteria on their fangs.

They are found inside dead trees, webbing up brush work and so on in arid, mountainous regions.
From the pictures I've seen nothing there stands taller then 4...
I'll back what @The Grym Reaper posted, especially the part about mesh lids and moisture. I got no issues what so ever with humidity and all of my enclosures have quite the open tops.
I've also never had an aboreal get stuck or show any signs of discomfort on an Exo Terra metal mesh lid. I'd...
I don't know it's kinda the other way around with me. Im always in disbelief that there are people who don't want to keep tarantulas/snakes and/or giant lizards.
There are such amazing creatures out there, such amazing "DNA plans/patterns". Meh, more for me I guess.
You can get a general idea by browsing http://www.spidersworld.eu/en/ and add around 5-10 € on those prices for average in germany prices.
Less then 50km from me I could buy right now G.Pulchra and G.Iheringi for 27€ each, H. Pulchripes 49€, P. Metallica 45€. You get the idea.
It's good for the...
