    Chickens, anyone?

I have chickens! They are really funny! They each have their own personality and are really a hoot to watch. They keep our yard clear of neighbor cats and those pesky robins that steal worms. We've had them for 6 yrs. Hope to get 6 yrs more out of them.

    The Grammostola pulchra myth

I didnt keep mine at 85 yr round.. Summer probably 80, winter 72. That probably slowed her down. Have no idea whats causing my emilia to be 6yrs old and only 1.5". Just the "exception to the rule"

    The Grammostola pulchra myth

I have a female that didnt grow that fast. She took about 2.5 yrs to get 5". I think it depends on the T and the feeding schedule. Just like people, some grow fast, some slow. I also have a B. emilia that I got back in 2004 at .5 It is now a grand 1.5".... go figure.. I feed her just the same...

YES!! Our cats are terrified of them! The cat that nearly had his toe bitten off was a bit more bold.. but now he steers clear of them at all cost! The rats will see them come into the room and will RUN to the side of the cage and spew obcenities at the cats, taunting them to come closer...

    Bubonic Floyd

Every wild rat Ive ever known has been very cantankerous! Even some of these tiny babies would attack!! I watched one as small as floyd attacking the cat that was trying to catch it. That one got away. :D Good to know they can be tamed. Ive been waiting for this guy to go savage on me..

    Bubonic Floyd

We live by a stream and so we get a lot of rats in our chicken coop. Well, we killed off about 20 adults all at once and suddenly we had baby rats running all over! Cats from miles around came running to eat them! It was pretty sad... but better than a plague of rats right? My daughters cat...
