Hottentotta Judaicus, adult male. Out for terrarium rework. Now 50/50 cocoa fibre/quartz sand. [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Scorpions aren't voracious eaters usually. My go-to is always crickets. If it refuses those, give it some time. Cool to hear about a Mesobuthus...
Well the west coast is the best coast lol. Maybe try superworms? My Pandinus Cavimanus loved those. Took all night for him to eat one. Then...
So do I, shhhhh lol. I found an add on Craigslist for 10 of them for 20 bucks. Threw them in a small 10 gallon aquarium, heat pad on the back....
250W is wild, I can see why you had that so far away. I honestly didn't know they made them so powerful. I've never needed more than 75W....
That's a sizable scorpion. My (deceased) male Pandinus Cavimanus looked about the same in my hand. I didn't know dune scorps were so large.

I would say female. The 'hairs' on the pectines looks quite small compared to the pectines themselves. Also the genital operculum doesn't appear...
Lucky break man. 99% of the time its AFS's being sold as Emperors lol.
Female
I'll give you my care sheet. One of my first, and my favourite scorpions. Got mine from bruce carr at arachnophiliacs years ago. He's in Surrey...
How you doin Koh? I was just thinking about you man. Just gave my A.A.H. his first superworm. Thank you for selling him to me, by far the most...
Androctonus Australis Hector, 5iM. First superworm. [ATTACH]
That first picture looked scary. Second, not so bad. The only way I could ever see mounting a heat pad on the underside of a terrarium would be if...
