I ordered 2 H.gigas slings and a desert hairy scorpion from Matt last night, he reached out about twenty minutes after i ordered to ask if i wanted them shipped that evening which i did, he was very professional and quick to respond, I picked up the package this morning everything was packed really well and they all seemed very alert and healthy, I would not hesitate to order from him again

Today was the day of the San Jose Reptile Show, and I had the chance to see Mr. Padilla and his bugs once more. Once again, I had a fantastic experience.

Before the show, I preordered two imperfect Florida Whipspiders (Phrynus marginemaculatus) and one Californian solifugid (Solifugae spp.) Despite me changing a few specifics, Mr. Padilla was responsive and gracious through our entire communication. He even emailed me photos of some new solifugids that he had just obtained in case I was interested.

At the show, his booth's offerings were as varied and fascinating as ever. Apparently, this was a good week, as there were many exotic and rare species that I normally have trouble finding at expos-- Paraphyrnus spp., Thelyphonus spp., Galeodes spp., and many more.

Mr. Padilla gave me my pickups, with one note: one of the imperfect whipspiders I had ordered had more damage to its body than was listed through the website due to a mistake. I personally did not care and would have been fine regardless. However, Mr. Padilla grabbed a perfect whipspider and gave it to me for free in addition to my two imperfect ones! And being as honest as always, he warned me about solifugid care regarding my other preorder to let me know that I was dealing with a very temperamental animal.

Not only did he do all of that, but also he offered me a deal on every other animal at his booth despite the fact that his website sale ended the day before the show. As a result, I picked up a beautiful and huge Vachon's Rock Scorpion (Smeringurus vachoni) and an elegant and feisty Dune Scorpion (Smeringurus mesaensis), both at a discounted price.

After my purchases, I just wanted to look at and photograph some rare species Mr. Padilla had, and I asked him if he could pick them out for me. He was happy to do so and was just as enthusiastic about the animals as I was.

Needless to say, I am very pleased with my experience. Mr. Padilla is a great guy who really cares about bugs and the arachnid hobby. He is also a very fair and open businessman who makes sure his customers know what they are buying.

I am so glad to be able to see him and his company regularly at shows-- I will definitely be ordering from him again.

Mr. Padilla is such a pleasure to work with; he is a very professional, knowledable, and honest dealer. He lets you know which species can be difficult to keep (like eastern solifugids) and always provides accurate advice. He specializes in jumping spiders and tarantulas, but knows quite a bit about other arachnids too.

His website is simple and modern, his livestock update list is a lifesaver, and his animals are always varied and healthy. Mr. Padilla also responds to inquiries extremely fast, which makes ordering so much easier.

I preordered two animals from his website on April 14 to pick up at a show (an imperfect baby Thelyphonus sp. and a large Paruroctonus silvestrii). Upon my arrival at the show on April 27, I received both specimens immediately at his booth in perfect condition with all of my requests met. Mr. Padilla even offered to give me discounts on all of his other animals, which meant a lot to a youngster like me. I bought a 1/2" Tliltocatl albopilosus sling, and I am very happy with it too!

I will definitely be ordering from The Spider Room again; it's a great company that has a wide variety of inverts and spectacular service. I'm thankful to be a Californian so I can continue stopping by at Mr. Padilla's expo booths!

Found an Avic on his website that had been on my list for awhile and contacted him about purchasing at the Expo that weekend. He kinda held her for me and had 2 to choose from. I also came back and spotted a 4.5” female irminia that he advised me was on consignment. He carefully taped the lid shut for me and took my thanks back to the consignor. He also offered to try to find another on my wishlist. 5 in my collection are from Matt and I have no doubt there’ll be more.

Another smooth transaction from Matt at The Spider Room. When work hours allow, I try to go to his store in person. This time around, he had the 40% off New Year's Day sale and I took the opportunity to purchase a few slings and had them shipped to me. All three slings were packaged safely, kept warm, and arrived without issues. Matt kept me updated and responded quickly to communications. I would not hesitate to recommend The Spider Room to any buyer.
