I made two larger purchases from Spider Shoppe during their Black Friday sale in November 2023. Both orders added up to over 30 individual spiders, sized from 1/8 inch slings to 5+ inch adults.

ALL spiders arrived to me alive, with only one casualty: a tiny 1/8 inch H. gabonensis sling, who was alive on arrival but was just not able to handle the trip at that size unfortunately. It was the only death out of the many 1/8 to 1/4 inch slings I received, and the 4 other H. gabonensis I ordered are thriving!

A little over 2 months later, out of the more than 30 individuals purchased (excluding the H. gabonensis sling) all but one have been thriving! I recently lost one of my three D. mineirum slings but it appears to be just a failure to thrive, and/or a care problem on my end.

Point is, they've got nice, fat, healthy spiders, a large variety to choose from, and very fair prices (especially during sales)!

A pleasure to do business with. Great communication, great packaging, and healthy spiders. I'll definitely order from them again! Their prices are also very reasonable.

I ordered a female Aphonopelma Chalcodes that arrived in a doa state which I think was due to travel issues/fedex. I reached out and Tyler and Ashlyn were empathetic to the situation as we were thinking the tarantula was in a stunned state and they advised me to notify them if it never revived. The A. Chalcodes never revived so I reached out again and Tyler/Ashlyn held to their LAG offering refund/replacement T etc. I really wanted to get a T and they had no other A. Chalcodes in stock and I was willing to see what other Aphonopelmas (female hentzi or female anax were my alternate preferences) and they offered a female A. sp. Oaxaca or an A. Sierra Vista since none of those were in stock. I went with the A. sp. Oaxaca choosing a different Fedex hub and received the T the following week alive and kicking! I would definitely purchase from them again!

This review has been a long time coming, I've now purchased at least 30 tarantulas from Tyler at Spider Shoppe, and only have great things to say. Communication and selection are second to none, and orders are always shipped quickly & on time. All tarantulas I've received have been healthy and lively, Spider Shoppe is a preferred store for myself. Would recommend to anyone looking to build their collections up, this is a place you can trust.

Accidentally turned into "one of those" customers with follow-up calls, add-ons, & lacal weather updates, but they were on top of it all. Very generous "mystery box," & still received a great deal on top of that. I'd highly recommend trying them out, if you haven't already done so.
