Twilithium- Idiommata Sp. Silverback

She is cold as metal, black as midnight and and sparkles like the stars under light. It's nice to have a "trapdoor" (seriously, how is this NOT a tarantula??) that enjoys handling between enclosure transfers
@Rhino1 40mm body length and roughly 60-70mm DLS. She's not like our T's that hate the feeling of skin, she will willingly crawl onto your hand and provided you don't make any sudden movements, she won't try and launch away. However;
1. She looks like a T
2. She can stridulate like a T
3. She can climb glass like a T
4. She has iridescent blue hairs under her feet like a T
5. The males live for much longer than male trapdoors of most species and will readily eat and burrow

Yeah nice, she is one pretty spider and you have my interest. Might have to look into these guys soon, I have my hands full with so many scorpions atm. I need to set up a full room or at least more shelves lol.

@Rhino1 theres a guy who goes and collects them from Cooktown occasionally, I'm hoping for him to get me a male next time he's there. Keep an eye on gumtree in case he puts these up again

@RezonantVoid ah righto, I love anything tropical like that, suits me and my enclosures so yeah I'm all in, I've got a fair bit of stock to go up on Gumtree at the moment but troll it fairly regularly to see what's about. If you see him, swing me a link.
Cheers
