@VanessaS it's a real shame people feel the need to overcharge for a specific genus or species it screws the hobby up somewhat. Mine is around 1cm and set me back £35 ($60 not sure of exchange rate) typical spidershop price really, they just had a shipment of captive bred Mexican species with cities paperwork to prove purity of bloodline these include some of the Brachypelma that become hybrids
@johnny quango TarCan gets the Brachypelma from Mexico - I have auratum from that same facility. I will keep you posted on what they end up being priced at once they arrive here... and I'm sure they will at some point.
@sdsnybny unfortunately, this girl wound up being a Lagunas. Found out very recently. The breeder over in england sold her as cajamarca and imported lord knows how many to the US as cajamarca..i was really disappointed. Even if she was cajamarca though, she's only about 2.5". If she was a mature cajamarca i would totally have been down for that. Bummer! Are you in NY? I am and I have lots of species that are growing and I'm sure there are some males and females that will eventually be down to breed.
