Also, I'm in love with how well this pic/specimen illustrates the gnathocoxa, very prominent here, often difficult to distinguish on many animals. Just lovely, thank you!
@seaward451 Okay, then I'm wrong on one of theses then, obviously. On this one, the bottom section of the important area is better lit than the other pic, even despite the heavy shadow near the pedicel. The other one doesn't have the heavy shadow but isn't well lit and is darker in the area of interest. So which one gives a better view and is more clear? Hmmm...
@seaward451 I look forward to it! There are definitely people here that are way better and more experienced than me at EF sexing. But with a clear, well lit, square shot, this species at this size should be pretty easy.
