Yeah how can you tell just by a picture? i mean yeah if there were hooks you could see then id understand. but i'm noobish so id like to know how you can tell
@mazzzz@jerermy Poecs are among the easiest genera to vent sex. Experience raising specimens within the genus would be the best start. Sometimes images can be misleading, but with clear vent pics as seen above you can easily decipher gender.
In short, females will have a large and clear gonoslit at the vent whereas males will have a dot. Immatures can be sexed with ease this way.
Experience is key though, new keepers might not recognize the differences as easily. Check out some pictures(epigastric furrow) of male and female specimens, eventually you guys should get the hang of it.

@Nightstalker47 Yes experience is defeinitely something I need more of but I have been trying to do more reading on it, which I will continue to do. Appreciate the response though!
