T. vagans (#2) Egg Sac Pulled 7-11-20 (1).jpg

My super mom T. vagans egg sac opened up in incubator - lots of 1i slings!
That's awesome....but WOW that's a lot of spiderlings! The task of counting them and separating each one into a deli cup sounds very tedious. You'll have to let us know how many there are when the time comes to separate them!

I love when slings are little and yellow! So cute!
Wow though.... what are you going to do with that many tarantulas? Sell them?

I usually wholesale my slings to Michael from Island Sea Exotics, Mount Dora, Florida. I've worked with him for several years now and he is very easy to work with. The hardest part is counting them, which can take some time due to the high sling count - which is a good problem! The best part is being able to ship these slings out by bulk (in one single container) when they turn 2i, so I don't have to individual house each one.

Holy crap. Thinking about separating all those slings makes my head hurt
It does - but as far as I'm concerned the more the better! I've spent years working with this species trying to perfect the best breeding practices in my efforts to develop the most healthy and the highest sling count possible. Last year this vagans produced 1215 slings and I believe she may break that record this year!
