So, I have no idea what species this little homie is. I bought him for 6 bucks, as a wildcaught t and he has since molted twice and is pretty chill. He is very slow, Not aggressive, and very nice and mellow. I live in southern california. Thanks
Reginald Did you buy it as a local T or did you have it shipped to you. It may be a G pulchra by the way that you say its temperment but im not 100% sure on that.
I bought it as a local t. The person that found it apparently found it on their porch and gave it to the pet shop. I believe i have successfully identified it as a Aphonopelma (California). Yours looks blacker than the one in the photo, I would say you have an Aphonpelma reversum, but, if indeed it does have those iodine colors then I'd say A. iodious. They both fall under the general term "eutylenum type", both are local socal. There is not a definite taxonomy on this genus yet.
