I think it's a hard sound, like bulk. So pulk-er. Not great with pronouncing these latin names though. Mind was blown when I found out Poec is pronounced pets.
@mack1855 That's what I've read somewhere around here, and @petkokc always says "pets" in his videos. I always pronounced it Po-eh-kilo-tear(as in "I'm gonna tear this up" not "I shed a single tear for David Bowie")ee-uh.
@miss moxie I always like to say "pul-chur", or "pos-ee-luh-ther-ea" In the end it doesn't matter, we know what we're all referring to. Just asked because I like to hear others thoughts. Sometimes I find out the way I was pronouncing something was ridiculous haha.
If i could chime in I took Latin for 6 years (cause I was too dumb to take a language that would actually be useful). "C"s are always pronounced hard, never soft. I'm not really sure why so many Latin words are translated with soft "C"s to be honest
