Post molt problem?

C. Minax just molted and I noticed this redness around her legs . She's eating but this looks really bad. Any thoughts?

How does the rest of her look? Is she behaving unusually?

(It's normal for there to be missing hair around the leg joints, especially on the backs of the leg joints.)

It looks like some missing hair. This seems to happen with some Ta and appears to be very apparent on theraphosa sp.

That red looks rough though. She had a weird spot on her abdomen before she molted. Now she has two weird spots in completely different places. The spots are cream colored, not wet looking but not necessarily dry? She's eating but other than that she just sits there so I'm not sure if her movement is impacted. Her enclosure is moist and she has a water dish.

@mantisfan101 I've seen missing hair before I was just startled at the red color. I couldn't think of why there would be redness.

@Johjie possibly because he/she just molted?

A leg issue us of no concern.

But keep in mind, this species needs to be kept on damp sub....what i see looks dry.

@cold blood I know, it sure looks dry in this picture but it is not. Idk if it's the flash making it look lighter than it really is or if it's just the coir directly under her web.
      cold blood likes this.
