Bought this as an avic avic, but the size (close to 6 inches) and the long satae on the hind legs makes me think otherwise. What do you think the species might be?
@Drea thanks for the instruction! I’m new to the board. So, any ideas from the new pictures? I’m starting to lean towards a hybrid of a Metallica and a braunshauseni!
@Shingoukiex1 TBH No I can't recall one quite like that. Could be a caused by hybridization... but hobby 'braunshauseni' are not the only Avicularia avicularia variant with that characteristic. Also can't rule out a locality variant or even m#5 from Bolivia that look a lot like m#6 although extremely rare, if any in US hobby. Very hard to say one way or another based on pics.
@Shingoukiex1 Not that I'm aware of, no sorry. There are color descriptions and localities sited for each of the 7 morphotypes in the revision but this particular characteristic is not mentioned.
