Avicularia metallica is no longer recognized as a valid species; it is likely just a color morph of Avicularia avicularia.

@Ungoliant Thanks! I thought so, someone on a discord I talk in was saying it might be morph type 6, but i never heard of that revision so I wasn't sure

@Scarabyte Morphotype 6 seems most similar to the Avicularia metallica in the hobby.

However, right now, Avicularia metallica is just a nomen dubium; it has not been officially synonymized or moved to Avicularia avicularia.

@Ungoliant Smart idea tbh Also! One more question, does she look healthy enough from that pic? LPS didn't have her in the best conditions, but she doesn't appear to be super thin in my opinion but I'm not very experienced

@Scarabyte Looks OK as far as I can see. (Arboreals normally have a leaner build than terrestrials.)

@Scarabyte Maybe she is in pre-molt? What have you offered her as prey? (One of my Avics was a picky eater and accepted only crickets.)

@Ungoliant Dubias and Superworms, gonna try crickets later this week but yeah, she may be premolt, doesn't have a shiny abdomen though
