I would definitely agree with Lalberts and say female as well, I was browsing different specimens of approx the same size virtually as yours and ventrally the males would have a characteristic circular bald spot on the epiandrous fusillae along with a pronounced dark arc over it, However in this case yours appears to be uniform in color and coat pattern.
I also think it's female. I find most P. metallicas easy to sex. I think a lot of the people get confused by the darker area above the furrow which looks like epiandrous fussila.
