Please help identify

Hi, I am relatively new to the hobby. This is my second T. And was given to me by someone on Craigslist who said it was a "Brazilian Curly Hair" it's incredibly aggressive and eats every single time I throw something in there.
I very much appreciate any suggestions.
Looks like a Lasiodora parahybana youth to me, but others will be more capable of accurate spiderling identification than I am. Young spiders change so much! Are those pennies in your water dish?! :embarrassed:

@Dovey thanks for the answer. It's about 3.5-4 inches so idk if it's really a spiderling. Yeah, he came with the enclosure like that, should i take the pennies out?

Yes take the pennies out. Spiders don't drown. As for the ID it's hard to tell - could easily be an Lp though.

Brazilian curly hair, huh? Curly hairs do NOT live in Brazil, they live in Honduras and Nicaragua. Certainly looks to be a Lasiodora species (which is in fact, Brazilian), but you probably won't ever be 100% sure which species it is, although paraybana is the obvious guess.....just don't use it for breeding down the line.

And yes, just water in the dish...I'd add a deeper dish personally as well.

Oh, if it's an LP or another of the big Brazilian birdeaters, I'd still call it a wee babbie! There is something about your juvenile spider that looks young to me, like not nearly done growing.

By aggressive, do you mean it is defensive toward you, or just an enthusiastic eater?

As to definitive ID: if it hits 10 inches, looks like it needs some hair product in the worst way, and the cat is missing after it has been out free ranging, it's an LP! :cat: Kidding about the cat, but they are among the largest spiders in the world. If it's an LP, you'll know someday. Very little else that hairy (as opposed to velvety) gets that big.

Can we get a few more pictures, preferably under differing lighting conditions for each one? That can really make a difference in ID efforts and their accuracy.

I hope you can see these pictures, if not i will have to try a different way of posting them. I appreciate you trying to help. He is vicious. If i get anywhere near him with my tongs he tries to kill me. I am not being dramatic, i've never seen such an aggressive animal. And he pounces on absolutely anything including water.
