Pinky nearing moult..

Pinky nearing moult..

Pinky today.
I notice as she gets closer to moulting her colour is altering.
I can see her new markings under her abdomen.
She fed once in the two months I had her.. refused food since.
Offered her a cricket and she threat posed it.
I'm on tenderhooks, eager to see her emerge a new.
expect a molt soon! i think that this is your first T, correct me if im wrong. but hows the ventilation in there? most beginners, myself included, usually fail with their first avics because of the need for very high ventilation and low humidity. the only humidity they need comes from their water dish.

@Venom1080 Lol yes, is it that obvious??
Thankfully my friends boyfriend's a breeder and I got my girl from him.. humidity's been fixed (as it became too humid in there so I cleaned off excess moisture and dried the tank) Her temps at 68.8f and she's happy again ;)
As for ventilation i got four holes on the lid and 16 on sides creating cross ventilation.
Water wise she's got a tiny lid dish

@Kiki G Ts are best kept 70-80, your temps ok, but not optimal. id try to get it a little warmer. excess moisture? if condensation formed, theres too much humidity and not enough ventilation. how did you dry the tank? could you possibly pm me a pic of the cage? you wont be disappointed with her as she grows, the colors only get better. :)

@Venom1080
Well i got to admit i started off with occasional misting but she became too waterlogged and scared me as she got weak, so i wiped off excess water and removed her old bark,
then added a bigger wider one and added the dish for water.
She's been at 70f earlier but it's lowered as its evening.
I got a heat mat but i refuse to use it unless them temp drops more.
Sure I'll p.m you a pic

@Kiki G heat mats are terrible for ts, it pretty much cooks them over time. the only heat i use comes from a space heater. misting is useless and even bad for avics, id recommend not misting. only humidity should come from the water dish. no need for misting.

@Venom1080
I'm leaning this rapidly.
I used it once till the temp probe arrived.
I must add my Pinky's on props over my Geckos tank.. she seems to like it there as she's over the top of his light.. added heat makes her happy.

@Kiki G yeah, Ts love heat from direct sources like that, but its very bad for them. i dont bother with specific temps, never bought a gauge for anything, not worth it. i use one for my T room just to monitor what temps are at specific times but they are unneeded.
