Observed at Wild Sumaco Lodge, eastern side of the Andes, Ecuador. Sorry - unable to get a better photo! Anyone able to ID?
There is no report for any Xenesthis from this area. Further there is no visible scopula at metatarsus IV. Therefore Xenesthis is very unlikely.
Pamphobeteus is a possibility.
But Megaphobema is are another bigger fossorial genus found in this area and which is often confused with Pamphobeteus.
Unfortunately with that picture these genera cannot distinguished.
