Traded 80 Arbanitis sp. trapdoor slings for 5 of these Cataxia sp. trapdoor slings. These are also known as Australian Spiny's. This photo was taken with it between my pointer and middle finger. Nice golden legs and they actually make lids on their holes
Excellent they made their doors. I kept a WC folding door trapdoor spider for a while and couldn't get him to do much with his enclosure. Might have been because he was a MM I suppose. Do you do anything special to ensure they make lids for their burrows?
@WildSpider it depends on the species, for instance 90% of Trapdoors from Arbanitis genus dont make lids on their holes. But to give a better chance, I'd say have the substrate sloped as they appear to prefer digging horizontally instead of straight down. They find it easier to hinge their lids that way
