my new haplopelma lividum, is its abdomen size an indication of gender? was really small when i first got him ate like crazy. 4'' long from toe to toe. malnourishment or male indicator?
Abdomen size wouldn't be a useful indicator for sexing. It could just not have bulked up yet after a molt. That being said, that angle and lack of lighting make it impossible to tell, for me at least. It's almost pitch black in the most important area, so I can't even make out what I'd need to look for
