I think its a female but I don't know.
Thanks by the way does size and time matter? the molt itself is 2 inches and missing all legs except for one. This molt happened about a year ago.
Size only matters so much that you can see the spermatheca. As long as you have that part and you can see the flap or the dooly bobs depending on the species then you have a female. Males won't have the flap (spermatheca) at any size and females will have one but it might be under developed or too small to really make out if the tarantula is too small or hasn't matured enough. Think of seeing the spermatheca as seeing signs of puberty in humans. Not really developed until they start to mature.
