Not at all a fool. It's been quite proven these guys do great in a communal setup. If that's vermiculite though, I would do away with that. Just keep an eye on that little one. I don't think you'll have any issues with cannibalism, but I'd just make sure he eats.
@Ghost56 The little guy is the only thing that I was worried about. 24hrs in and I've lost track of one of the larger ones but the small one is still alive sitting with the other two, so its a good start!
How big is that enclosure? Most of the ones in my second communal were that size when I started the communal and they did fine together (no losses and they are all plump). I fed them yesterday and when I came back an hour later all 4 of them were eating off the same large dubia roach. I tried to get a photo but they bailed when I went to take off the lid.
No water in these at all apart from the bowl, In Socotra where they come from its 25c at night and 35c during the day average.
Be sure they have some nice crevices under wood etc to make a home in and they will be happy, drop a dead mealy infront of there entrance and 'lol' 5mins later as there is a giant fuzzpile all sharing the meal.
@Trenor@Bread the enclosure is about 10x5cm, I figured I'd give them plenty of room to grow. ive given them a hopper (crushed head)and although I haven't seen them eating they've clearly been at it.
