M. balfouri communal (2)

A much better picture, I was able to take off the lid without them scurrying for once. They were very reclusive for awhile, but since they've laid down more webbing, they've become braver and wandering out.
@YagerManJennsen I haven't had them long enough to really say, but I'm pretty sure that they grow much faster than H. maculata. I have young juvie H. mac's older than some subadult M. balfouri I'm reading about...

And then there was one...:troll: Their growth rate is moderate. They don't pack on a lot of abdominal size like other baboons or NWs either. As slings certainly more secretive, but by 2" they have enough confidence I think.

@RepugnantOoze Ventilation, oddly enough. I wanted the holes small enough so that the eventual slings couldn't escape, but that resulted in not enough airflow and a blooming of mold. A dose of springtails resolved that while I wait for it to dry out. I drilled more holes to avoid that in the future. Feeding is less of a chore than I thought. I tried feeding them individually, and it never worked. Turns out that they prefer to take down prey together, so they get one large dubia to share.

Do you think that the ventilation would have been enough if you only had one T in the enclosure?
Are these two specimens from the same egg sac?

Sorry for all the questions. Super interested!

@RepugnantOoze No, it had nothing to do with the number of individuals. I just didn't have enough holes. That should be resolved now, though.

And there's actually four of them in there, all sac mates. Two females, one male, and one suspect female.
