I'm going male. Basing this on book lung spacing. There appears to be a straight line instead of an opening in the exuvium and if I'm not mistaken, it looks like you can start to see the formation of epiandrous fusillae.
@Sen L Not a clue. I was 100% sure my Lasiodora difficilis was male until she reached 3" and her spermathecae was all of a sudden very obvious.
That is the magic size, in my opinion, for tarantulas who reach 6+". Give it another couple of moults and it might be far easier to tell.
@Sen L of course @VanessaS is right. Ventral sexing is a guess at sex. Some folks are better than others and more accurate when doing so. The only 100% sure way to sex is via molt.
