Yeah, I really need to improve my ventral photo game, always a battle between the right angle and the light/glare. I appreciate you both weighing and will see if I can get better photos. Meanwhile, any thoughts on hooks/emboli for Phormictopus species? This one has neither and is getting to be around 3 years old.

Age doesn't matter much, it has more to do with size - they will get both hooks and emboli when mature, but that isn't likely to happen until it gets to about 6"+ leg span. Not sure how big this one is, but it seems to be smaller than that.
